Color Dare #115

Outdoor DenimSunset, Olive
The color challenge this week at Color My Heart brings you this card.
My favorite thing to do with Outdoor Denim CS is to sand it to
make it look like denim. For this card I added a kraft CS border,
a white daisy flower with a sunset corduroy brad and some
Olive CS leaves. Pattern is Make it From Your Heart II #23.
So grab your Outdoor Denim, Sunset, and Olive and treat us
with your special creation at Color My Heart.

Take the Tour

With the Creative Bloggers
It was such a surprise to be nominated by my blog buddy Amy Moore
as a Creative Blogger for this fun chain of  blog hop tours.
If you don't know Amy and her Art from the Heart you have been
missing out. Be sure to visit her blog  and share the love.

Each Monday a creative blogger will answer 4 questions about their
personal creative journey and nominate the next person on the tour.
If you have missed this tour I will backtrack my leg of the tour at the end of my post.

Now here are my answers to the 4 questions:

What am I currently working on?

I’m currently working on two upcoming events. The first is my Art Philosophy Demo with the October Stamp of the Month and the fun gift containers in Art Philosophy that coordinate with the tags in the SOTM. Second is my upcoming Christmas Card Buffet. This is my opportunity to use up my old retired papers and embellishments. Details coming your way soon

How does my work differ from others in its genre?

Not sure. I really like to blend in and not stick out. I am a CTMH  consultant that likes to create using products that my customers can purchase so my current posts are generally creations using current Idea Book products.

My latest creation using the newest Cricut  cartridge Artfully Sent

Why do I create what I do?

When I gave up sewing paper crafting just came my way. I still like creating with fabric but paper is sooooo much easier. Anything I can make with paper, ink and stamps I all over that.

Paper meets fabric or is it fabric meets paper?

How does my creative process work?

Most of my work is customer centered. I let my customers drive my creative thinking. They tell me what they want and my wheels start turning to create what they are looking for. This works with my fellow consultants as well. When I see all your amazing creations I like to take a little bit of this and a little bit of that and put it together with my own twist.

A little bit of this: Artfully sent lattice cut sleeve card
A little bit of that: flowers on lattice page 102 current Idea Book.

Artfully Sent Warm Wishes

 Pop Up Card
Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge has 50 Pop Up Card bases with 50 inner linings.
The pop up part is inside the card using the inner lining. So after you've
assembled the inside oh...what to put on the front. This card is my take on
the reindeer card on page 141 in the Idea Book.
The Idea Book shows the reindeer in red but I wanted to do a scene card
with the reindeer inside. So for the front I made some rolling hills with snow,
added the church and trees from the "Christmas Village" stamp set.
Inside on the back liner I added some more snow hills with a house and trees.
On the front tab that holds the reindeer I attached some more snow hills, the
Sweet Shop and the reindeer. I had to size the reindeer down to fit the
size of the house and shop.

Cardstock: White Daisy, Glacier, Whisper
Stamps: Christmas Village
Ink: Glacier, Black

Artfully Sent Pop Up Card

Pop Up Card with 4 X 6 Pocket Card
Use the Pop Up Function and Pocket Card Function
on page 37 in the Artfully Sent booklet to make this card.

I chose my three favorite colors for this card: Sweet Leaf, Canary, and
Crystal Blue. Cut the card base with Canary and the inside White Daisy.
Using scraps of Sweet Leaf, Crystal Blue, and Canary cover the
cut out sections on the back side of the White Daisy inside piece.
Secure the floral inside to the card base at the fold with a strong
adhesive. I use Bonding Memory Glue for all stress points.
